THE CARNELIAN & DIAMOND PENDANT

Suspended from a handmade 18ct gold chain, this pendant combines carved gemstone artistry with traditional goldsmithing. Its design has an almost Baroque richness, with a bold composition and finely worked detail.

At the centre is a large square carnelian, carved by master stone cutter Dieter Lorenz. The stone is sculpted to reveal a striking natural feature at its heart — a small cavity of delicate micro-crystals hidden within the solid gem. This contrast between the smooth carved surface and the crystalline core brings depth and character to the stone.

The carnelian is framed by an intricate handcrafted 18ct gold setting, its swirling form echoing the exuberance of historical jewellery design. Twenty-six brilliant-cut diamonds are set throughout the frame, adding light and movement while drawing attention to the carved gemstone.
